Welcome Solider,
Everything here is alleged and these are my opinions.
It’s been a wild month, at least for Britney Brands. After last months push for the Once Upon A Time broadway musical, we got a glimpse of the book title and cover for her upcoming “tell-all” book, The Woman In Me. She was also, allegedly, in Las Vegas and assaulted by a security guard, who was working for an athlete. (That athlete, it should be noted, was later promoted on Lou Taylors instagram stories.) As we were all still processing this insane story, which also included a mix up with Paulie Shore, a disrespectful non-apology from the athlete and a police report, filed by her manager Cade Hudson, which led literally nowhere, but before we could make heads or tales of the whole story, her instagram seemed to go into overdrive. (The cops, BTW, never talked to Britney herself. Only Cade. Which isn’t completely suspicious, but should at least be noted.)
Britney’s instagram left teasers of a big announcement, which ended up being the book cover and (Though, she has not mentioned, pretty much, anything about the new song with Will.I.Am, other than a quickly deleted teaser on her stories.) This month, there was also a change to link in her bio, (https://britneyspears.komi.io/) which apparently can still be traced back to Crowd Surf. Her IG bio no longer links to her regular website, which feels very odd, but I am not sure if there’s any significance. Elton John and other stars use the same platform, so it could be a random digital collaboration for social media, but it feels worth mentioning.
Everything feels all to orchestrated lately. It usually does, but the month started off with reports of Britney being assaulted by an athlete, who was then promoted on none other that LT’s Instagram stories. Could it be that this slap was a marketing gimmick, created with or without Britney’s knowledge? Of course there is no way to know if it was intentional or not, but what is certain is that every one, even outside the B-Army, was talking about Britney at the beginning of July. Shortly after, the apparent paper shortage must have ended, because Britney teased of exciting news and then announced her book release date.
The cover itself is an older picture of Britney and among my followers, people seemed pretty divided on what that means. Some felt this was appropriate, it’s a book about her past and she probably just really liked that picture of herself. Before I make my next point, I want to be clear: I am not pushing for Britney to make music, do photoshoots, or do anything for the public that she doesn’t want to. But some felt, and I think I agree, that with our apprehension to trust that Britney is in control of her affairs completely, not just legally, but truly living her best life – free from fear or exploitation and that she is in safe spaces with people who will NOT exploit her further – it is a let down not seeing Britney post-conservatorship on a book she is releasing post-conservatorship. It’s a nuanced concept, but I want to support Britney’s privacy, and I also need to see that she is okay.

“The Woman In Me”, a nod to her amazing ballad that I love so much *cue Charlie dramatically pretending to be on a rock while singing in the mountains* I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman… it’s available Oct. 24th of this year, I already preordered and I am very interested to see what’s in the book, and as my friend Allyn Aston put it, “I’m also interested to see what’s not in the book.” Already there are reports that portions about Lynn and Jamie Lynn have been removed after an alleged reconciliation.
If I’m being honest, I am glad she isn’t going after her mom and sister. That’s family matters. I don’t want to see anything about her children, or private, intimate details about Britney’s life. It’s not my business.
I want to know about the facility they sent her to. I want to know about Lou Taylor’s day to day involvement with the conservatorship. I want to know where Britney’s money went, who we can hold accountable and can we pressure the Department Of Justice to press criminal charges. At the very least, can’t we look at the money and find out what happened to the very successful charities and nonprofits Britney was running before the conservatorship? I genuinely don’t know how to find these answers, but I plan on doing my best to find the truth as the trial approaches. I do wonder if she would have to leave out some details as to not interfere with the court proceedings. I also saw reports about how this will be the only book or memoir she ever makes, and I hope that isn’t true. Even if it’s decades from now I do hope she writes a second book when she has even more freedom to tell the truth about Hollywood and the entire scope and impact of her career. I hope long after the trial, when Britney is a beautiful old woman with long grey hair, she decides to tell her truth once and for all. And my wrinkly ass will still be here. Seeking truth about Britney.
In the meantime, I have to assume the three hundred some odd pages coming out in October will likely address the conservatorship to some degree, the paparazzi and her feelings of being confined. If we base anything on all the speculation I think it will probably be a lot about ex boyfriends as well. I’m genuinely concerned that this tell all book is going to tell us dick-all about the powerful people that exploited her and helped her father to take over her life.
In spite of that, as I said, before, I did order the book. I encourage others to buy it if they want to continue supporting Britney brands. I think boycotting is logical and I get why people are doing it, but I am not. It is my belief that Britney is seeing a bigger portion of her profits than when she was in the conservatorship, which I did boycott her Brand during that time. There’s absolutely a chance these book sale profits could be going to greedy executives. There’s also a pretty good chance that Britney’s going to see a large profit from the book. I would rather risk giving more money to oppressors, then risk preventing Britney from starting over and building her fortune back up, after the conservatorship allowed it all to be stolen from her – While the world laughed at her pain, and called her crazy.
