Court Updates – July 24th

This past month, thanks to Melanie Ver0nica, our beloved Britney Army Court correspondent, we got some inside info on the court proceedings – this specific date, July 24th, was looking at accounting and we got our first glimpse of the new judge residing over the Trial, Judge Luna.

These “Trial” dates do not mean a Jury Trial, but at least things are moving forward. As we get closer to these dates, I want to get so many more questions answered! Including: Will there be multiple trials? How many issues are they allowed to look at in all? Can we put pressure on the department of justice, in any way? Is there any way to seek criminal charges against those that wronged, exploited and abused Britney? Is there a DOJ investigation happening that we just don’t know about yet? I am hoping to get more questions answered on the legal side of things, but to be honest I barely even know what to ask, it’s all really complicated. But from what I took away from the reports from Melanie, here are the important take aways.

Trial Dates: They’ve have been set, May 13th will look at the 12th Accounting and June 3rd will be a full 5 days looking at the legal fee’s – which are Jamie’s Fee Petitions from 3/26/21 and 12/15/21. Matthew wanted to look at the 13th Accounting as well, but Judge Luna said it would not save on efficiency so they will look at 12th first. June 3rd they will look at Fee Petitions which, from what I understand, means Jamie wants Britney to pay for his lawyer. It’s very confusing why that idea would even be entertained – but one bright side to having to wait so long for the trial, we can educate ourselves, each other and others as to what exactly is going on with the court proceedings, since the Media refuses to cover this Trial. I hope they will start to care more as it approaches.

Tristar Depositions: According to Melanie, Matthew Rosengart said there will be 2-3 Depositions for Tristar; One from Lou Taylor, one from Robin Greenhill and a third from a Corporate Representative. He also said there will also be other depositions that they could not talk about in open court. Mathew called out Alex for dodging the depositions. Melanie reported on her stories that “the dates were well confirmed and set and a few days before they were set to happen Sloppy emailed Matt and said ‘I didn’t know it was happening today, I have Covid, I can’t come in. Luna kinda comforted Matt and said it will be worked out, we will have more time and she will make sure it alls happens.”

She continues, “Matt said once the depositions are done there would be a major valuation difference and he had a lot of objections related to the surveillance. He said there was an enormous payment made and that was not disclosed. Matt said that Blackbox surveillance happened from 2010 extending all the way to the 12th Accounting period. (This would mean they were using illegal surveillance for more than a decade.

Scope of the Trial: The first thing Matthew covered was the Surveillance – He broke it down into two “buckets” the first, the listening device placed in Britney’s home, the second being the real time monitoring of her cell phone, which included text messages to and from her lawyer. Matt said the trial will also cover a conflict of interest which included self-dealing the aversion of resources from the conservatorship to Jamie’s benefit. Matt also brought up the point that Team Con put Britney Spears in a facility against her will included in the scope of the trial. He referenced the “Shine Case”. He also referenced Hudson vs. Foster, which means if there is material misrepresentation or concealment that equals fraud and that is basis to re-open the accounting.

It was interesting to hear about the “little clap back moments” with Luna and Jamie’s legal team. Alex Weingarten, or as MelanieVer0nica has coined him, Sloppy, was sitting down while addressing the court (I am not a lawyer, but I think he is supposed to be standing?) and he took a pause, and Matt stood up to speak – thinking Alex was done. Mathew Rosengart remained on his feet, while allowing Alex to finish talking when Alex stopped to tell Matthew, “Could you sit down? I’m not done speaking.” At which point Judge Luna turns to Alex and says, “Or you could stand.” Alex remained seated while finishing his comments, and I have to agree with Melanie, “Lazy man… Lazy.”

Thank you again to MelanieVer0nica for her in depth coverage as well as CoryKirkLA for all his hard work and coverage of the court updates as well. I know there are so many, like myself, that would give anything to be there and show up for Britney – you two are representing all of us, and you have an Army for Britney advocates cheering you on.
