This past week, BritneyDocs released a copy of the court documents in which Matthew Rosengart states that Jamie paid himself upwards of six million dollars and mismanaged unbelievable amounts of money, as high as the “ten figures range”. That means we are talking Billions. That does not come as too much of a surprise, considering that Britney as been left with a reported $60 Million dollars, which may sound like a lot, but it’s despicably low especially when you consider her perfume line alone is worth more than 100 Billion dollars, according to Brit’s older brother Brian. How could she be left .06% of her fortune? That’s ridiculous. Well, at least the media will make the public aware of this grave injustice… or will they?

If you Google search Britney, the only reports you will find – as of June 30th – are “Britney Spears Is Interrupted By A Kiss From Sam Asghari”, “Britney Spears Accuses Her Own Kids Of ‘Going Behind’ Her Back And Making Up Stories About Her Drug Use In New Interview” and “Britney Spears Boobs Video: ‘Itty Bitty Titty Committee’.”
You don’t have to be a Britney Stan to recognize that something is wrong with this picture. The tabloids are up Britney’s ass, sometimes literally.

TMZ has reported on her bathroom breaks, her Redbull intake and will often run full stories, sometimes multiple reports, at the most baseless allegation or rumor about Britney.
But ONE BILLION DOLLARS?! TMZ, really? Is this too complex a story for you, Harvey? What about you, CNN? You’ve covered Britney for years, but this isn’t relevant to you at all? Less than one week ago CNN printed a story with the headline, “Remember when Paris Hilton wore a Barbie-branded handbag to a Britney Spears concert?” Because that is news?! And yet the latest reports about her court proceedings, the unbelievably gripping story of Britney’s fight for justice falls completely silent in the media. Even Fox news won’t touch this. This is a wildly frustrating thing to deal with, as an advocate in the Justice for Britney movement. How can we get the word out there, if we are being overtly silenced? There is no way that media outlets are just unaware, it’s impossible that they wouldn’t know by now. So what are we to do?
I wish I had a simple answer, but each of us has to figure out what this movement means, how we can keep it going and how to spread the truth about what has happened, and potentially what is still happening to Britney.
Before I get into some strategies of how to keep fighting for Britney, I want to point out, for anyone in the head space of “She is free, she is fine, just move on!” – that the lack of coverage on this should be genuinely concerning, or at least some sign of proof, that something is wrong. Any person with even a shred of critical thinking ability should be asking where did her money go, how did they get away with this and why is there no one talking about it? My guess is that the answers to all of those questions are very much connected to each other. Hollywood and the power players of the Entertainment industry are not going to allow their own organizations to report on their dirty laundry.
But no matter if we get clarity on why the press is silent (and complicit) on the continued exploitation and mistreatment of Britney Spears, we still need to find a way to advocate for her Justice, even if the media won’t help.
KEEP GOING
It’s really tough to keep pushing and feeling like what we are doing is making a difference when we feel it’s being ignored. Don’t give up! Keep talking to people outside the Britney movement. Explain very basic talking points, rather than getting entangled in trying to explain deep fakes or inconsistencies on her social media. TALK FACTS: K-fed was paid Child Support, then was hired by Jamie, given a job on Brit’s payroll and BRITNEY had to pay for childcare for the boys. That does not add up. Or: Britney was not allowed to meet with a lawyer or contest the conservatorship in the first place. Or better yet: When Britney was originally hospitalized against her will and forced into rehab there were no drugs or alcohol in her system.
Find New Platforms
If Instagram is giving you trouble, make a YouTube channel, or a TikTok, create a blog or a website. Don’t let the algorithm of one platform get you so discouraged that you give up! I use my Instagram the most, but decided to start a website and newsletter because I felt that my message was getting drowned out in a way that was making me feel defeated. Find what works for you! I use WordPress, I really enjoy it! You can also use blogger, tumblr or any of the other popular blogging platforms currently available for free.
Community Resources
Don’t forget, you have resources available to you outside of social media, it may just take a little digging! There are public access stations available in most states in America and there are often public programming options in other countries as well. Canada has public programming, New Zealand, I believe is in the process of developing new public programming platforms, but I know that the UK and Australia have public programming resources. Research your community to see what you may be able to produce in your area.
Take Breaks
If you start to find yourself getting too swept up in the Britney movement, it’s okay to take a step back. There are so many of us all working to spread awareness about what is going on with Britney. We may not all see things the same way, or go about our advocacy exactly the same way, but we are here for Britney and we are a community at. the end of the day. Rest when you need rest, use your voice when you feel strong enough, organize and strategize when you have the time and capacity. Do what you can and lift others up when you see them working hard.
Support Your Favorite Advocates
There are so many people with unique voices, perspectives and styles that are in this community. When you find creators that resonate with you, tell them. The trolls will always be louder than the supports so show love as much as you can, it makes a difference. When you can, encourage those that are putting in the work to keep going, tell them that you think what they are doing matters. And be thoughtful before criticizing the work and efforts of those that are doing their best and providing information and awareness that is so needed right now. We need to be kind and if you don’t like what someone is saying, ignoring it will always be the best way to prevent their message from getting more traction.
I don’t know how to get the media to pay attention to the incredible amount of evidence that is continuously piling up against Jamie and Britney’s abusers. This court case could be lengthy, but I hope we get some answers soon. Chances are that the road to justice will be long and difficult. We need to keep the pressure on the press to talk about the real issues. There are a billion things they want to talk about, but I only have one question. Where did Britney’s money go?
